PKW and the legal position of the SN Extraordinary Control Chamber

The Marshal of the Sejm prepared a bill which assumes that the validity of presidential elections will be decided by another chambers of the ultimate Court, specified as the Criminal, civilian and Labour and Social Insurance Chambers. The task has met mixed reactions from politicians and social organisations who call for independency of the electoral process.
New head of the National Election Office and supplementary elections in Krakow in 2025
The word of office of the current head of the CWB, Magdalena Pietrzak, ends in March 2025. The selection process for the fresh Head of the CWB will be crucial for the smooth conduct of presidential elections. Social organisations call for transparent competition and evaluation of candidates based on competences. The Head of the CWB is liable for the budget and the organisation of elections, which makes this a strategical position.
The year 2025 will besides bring supplementary elections to the legislature in Kraków district, where Bogdan Klich left the vacant seat. Political parties prepare their candidates, and the run can be dynamic.
