Camp Greaves is simply a U.S. Army base operating from 1953 to 2004. The Americans arrived there in 1953 during the 1950 Korean War, and for over 60 years they were 1 of the guarantors of the effective enforcement of the ceasefire (It is worth noting at this point that the same year 1953 was not the last in which the blood of soldiers on the Korean Peninsula was shed. According to various sources, over 150 American soldiers died in the demilitarized zone.).
