From Switzerland, General Antoine-Henri Jomini, 1 of the pioneers of [military logistics](https://defence24.pl/power-arms/military-Polish-myth-i-facts-report) in a modern sense, described this field as a means to transform strategies and tactics into real military activities. Turning this to modern Poland, without heavy-duty ground vehicles, which like industrious bees in the hive distribute soldiers, supplies, ammunition, fuel, food, water and a real menagerie of military equipment, the Polish Armed Forces would be incapable to carry out their basic task, namely to defend Polish territory and the population.
