Mateusz Morawiecki by many PiS MPs and voters is not treated as his own. Even if he were nominally able to gain more influence over the party, he would not keep it all under control. There would most likely have been a secession and a more right-wing part of it would have declared itself a "real PiS" as opposed to the "moderate" Moravian environment, says DGP Jan Maria Jackowski, erstwhile parliamentarian.
