Israeli towers for Latvian BWP ordered

In January, the Latvian Ministry of Defence signed a contract worth €370 million with General Dynamics European Land Systems – Santa Bárbara Sistemas for the transportation of 42 combat infantry vehicles based on the ASCOD platform. They will be equipped with an Israeli unmanned tower strategy UT30 Mk2, manufactured by Elbit Systems. In early April Elbit reported receipt of orders for these systems from GDELS. The value of the contract is about $100 million.
