The WB Group supported the Invictus Veteranus Foundation in the charity of the 6th Invictus Run. It is an event held annually in December in memory of fallen soldiers and to aid veterans and their families.
The 6th Invictus run was held on 14 December from 12.00 to 13.00 in a stationary expression at the airport of the Aeroclub of Gliwice, but from 9 to 14 December all those willing in the virtual expression could support a prominent goal from anywhere in the world. People of all ages, including children, could participate in the race. The reward for finishing the run was the Invictus Package, which included a commemorative T-shirt and medal.
The runners followed the designated way around the airport of the Gliwice Aeroclub, each lap being 3,600 metres. Participants could cross any number of laps within an hr by moving or marching. In the case of a virtual run, you had to run or cross a distance of at least a 1000 meters and send confirmation to the organizers in the form of a photograph or screenshot from any application.
The event was attended by over 7 100 runners, of which 300 in the stationary expression in Gliwice – including employees of the Gliwice Flytronic company. In an different way, they decided to celebrate December 21, which since 2015 is the Day of Memory of the Deceased and the Dead in Missions and Military Operations outside the State Borders.
The virtual 4th Invictus Race was attended by, among others, 17 subjects from the 1st Naval Academy School Company, more than 1 100 soldiers of the 15th Lubuska Territorial Defence Brigade, as well as serving in the IRISLPOLBATT in Lebanon. A full of over 700 people built in the collective memory the ethos of the soldier activities outside the homeland as part of the Memorial Day celebrations.
The WB Group engages in helping veterans and their families, a good example of which is the support of the Invictus Run since the first edition of this event. It has been six years since runners with a distinctive logo on shirts moved through the starting line, then located on the premises of the Gliwice barracks.
Veterans' support is simply a subject close to many WB Group employees. any previously employed in the Polish Army and took part in missions abroad. Others supported the Armed Forces of Poland as servicemen and shoulder to shoulder with soldiers put themselves in danger.
The Invictus Veteranus Foundation was established in 2015 in order to improve the image of Polish veterans of missions abroad, support of victims and families of soldiers who died. In 10 years, the Foundation has expanded its activities by supporting, among others, the families of fallen bomb squads in the Forge of Raciborska, soldiers injured during the service or suffering from severe diseases.
