The turnout of 67.31% in the Sunday vote is the highest consequence in the first circular of presidential elections in the past of the 3rd Polish Republic - according to authoritative data of PKW. So far, the highest attendance in the first circular was recorded in 1995, erstwhile it amounted to 64.70 percent.


During the Monday press conference, president Sylwester Marciniak spoke about attendance data.

According to authoritative PKW data in the first circular of presidential elections 67.31 percent of the eligible members voted.

  • The highest attendance was reported in the Mazowieckie state - 73.40 percent, in the Lesser Poland state 69.71 percent and in the Pomeranian state - 69.6%.

  • The least people voted in Opolskie voivodship - 57.64 percent, in Warmian-Masurian voivodship - 60.46 percent and in Lubuskie voivodship 61.89 percent.

The Head of PKW indicated that compared to the number of eligible persons The majority of voters voted in Krynica Morska (Pomorskie Province), where attendance was 83.51 percent.

In turn the least voters took part in the vote in the municipality of Zębowice (Opolskie province) - 41.61 percent.

Marciniak stressed that in this year's presidential election The turnout in the first circular was the highest in the past of the 3rd Republic.

"So far the highest attendance in the first circular of the presidential election was in 1995 and amounted to 64.70 percent" - he noted.

In 2020 attendance in the first circular was 64.51 percent, in 2015 only 48.96 percent, in 2010 - 54.94 percent, 2005 - 49.74 percent, 2000 - 61.12 percent, 1995 - 64.70 percent, and in 1990 - 60.63 percent.

Higher attendance in the presidential election was only twice in the second round: in 1995 (68.23%) and 2020 (68.18%).
