President Puławy Paul May will not be sent to prison. On Friday, it turned out that individual paid PLN 5,000 of the fine imposed by the court on the City Office. On Saturday, TVP Info reported that it was the Minister of athletics Sławomir Nitras who was expected to make a deposit. The local government already commented and did not bite the tongue.


"I have just received information that individual – without approval and cognition of the City Hall – has mistakenly paid a fine, which led to the cancellation of my arrest warrant," said Paweł Maj on Friday on social media.

It was besides not known who paid a fine of PLN 5 thousand. And anyone could have done so due to the fact that the fine was imposed on the City Office in civilian proceedings. president Puławy was expected to go to prison on Monday and spend 5 days there.

"The case is highly curious. I don't know erstwhile or what the deposit came into. The fine had its deposit sub-account, which is not known to outsiders, so individual had to make a real effort to do so. Is the aim to avoid the embarrassment of the state and the judiciary?" - wondered the local government.



"I do not agree with specified interference in judgments, but I hope that this individual or entity will shortly uncover itself and will besides be happy to pay fines to another victims of a defective system," he added.

President Puławy has already commented on these reports. I've been asking for aid for years. No minister always responded to my writings. In this, Sławomir Nitras said the local government in an interview with WP.

– By depositing that money, the symbol of my message was destroyed. The injustice and the heartless judgement of the court and the crippled law were accepted. [...] I do not agree with this and I ask if the minister will besides pay the fines of little media victims of the sick law? – added Paweł Maj.

What's with the Puławy eagle?


The case has been about the argument over the usage of eagles at simple School No. 4 in Puławy for years. A couple who live close the field filed a complaint about sound and nuisance lighting. In 2018, the court banned people from utilizing the field outside the school.

Despite the installation of acoustic screens, the court maintained its ban and imposed a fine of PLN 5,000 on the city. punishment could have been replaced for 5 days of detention against the individual authorized to represent the city, or president. Paul May, however, did not intend to pay and chose to service time.

– I'm going to jail for letting my kids usage the field. I'm doing this for the full community, due to the fact that it could happen in any municipality. We have a sick and soulless right," said Paweł Maj in a conversation with Temat.pl in early April.
