"Iran had to respond, but chose a 'symmetrical' response, although actually weaker – that is limited" – said Dr. Bruno Surdel, analyst of the Center for global Relations, in a conversation with TVN24 Business and the World.
According to the expert, the Iranian rocket attack on US bases in Qatar after US strikes on Iran's atomic installations was a form of controlled rematch. The Tehran authorities do not want further escalation of the open war launched after the Israeli attacks on 13 June.
– But the real question is: did fresh American raids destruct the Iranian atomic program? – notes Dr. Surdel.
If not – U.S. get active in long-term conflict, which means: weakening support for Ukraine, a fresh wave of refugees to Europe and benefits for Russia and China.
The expert emphasizes that not only military conflict takes place, but besides Information War – and many reports on Iran are part of a wider strategical game.
