About the show:

The play takes place in Japan, where in 2004 2 Polish independent activists – Roman Dmowski and Józef Piłsudski met in 1 of the hotels. The gathering place is not accidental – the Russian-Japanese war is taking place and both statesmen discuss the consequences and what Poles can do in this situation. The decision whether or not to join the fight is besides a pretext for wider geopolitical and social considerations. A thorough analysis of the situation of Poland under the partitions, our national character and attitudes towards another countries is interesting. The differences of opinion make tension, emotions grow. In the background there are besides clear differences in customs, including musical and culinary tastes. Both politicians participate in the nipponese tea-making ceremony and perceive to local music performed by Geisha.
