On 8 April, the global Roma Day is celebrated. On the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the festival, scientists from the Centre for Migration investigation at the University of Warsaw published a videocast on the situation of Roma in the face of the war in Ukraine.
Researchers from the University of Warsaw have been researching migrations of Roma cultural minorities for years. investigation on migration of Polish Roma and transnational life began in 2016. Since 2024, the squad of the Centre for Migration investigation (OBM), composed of researchers and researchers of Roma and non-Romans, focuses on the survey of exile experience among Ukrainian Roma, a group peculiarly susceptible among people with temporary protection in Poland.
On 8 April, global Roma Day, researchers from the OBM University published a videocast on unequal citizenship and transnational mobilization of Roma in the face of the war in Ukraine.
