Support Inspectorate Honored with Benemerenti 2026

At the Museum of the Polish Army there was a ceremony of awarding the Benemerenti honours, awarded by the Polish Army's Polish Ordinariat institutions and people who were peculiarly well-deserved for the Polish Army. Benemerenti 2026 was besides awarded with the honors of the Armed Forces Support Inspectorate - for the persistent improvement of the logistics support strategy of the Armed Forces of Poland, raising the level of safety and conditions of service of soldiers of the Polish Army, as well as a certificate of allegiance to military values.

The statue was taken by Major General Dariusz Mendral, Head of the Armed Forces Support Inspectorate, from the Polish Bishop Wiesław Lechowicz.

The reason for the discrimination besides highlighted the crucial function of the SZ Support Inspectorate in the implementation of Operation #Feniks, conducted at the turn of 2024 and 2025. In its framework, the IWSP SZ provided logistical support during relief activities in flood-stricken areas.

Taking the distinction, General Dariusz Mendrala pointed out that the essence of military service is work and community of values. "War is not only beautiful uniforms that we stand out for, but not just tanks or organizational structures. It is simply a community of values and goals, a tradition of arms and history, it is compassion, and above all – a single soldier and his family, who very frequently face the challenges of the modern world" - stressed the Chief Inspectorate.

General Mendral dedicated the award to soldiers and logistics staff. "This discrimination is due to thousands of unnoticeable, frequently underrated workers and logistics soldiers who supply support to our soldiers and allies all day, regardless of the conditions, challenges and places of service," he noted.

He besides highlighted the peculiar function of the military ministry. - "The function of the Field Ordinariat and military pastoral ministry is invaluable in giving moral signs, indicating the right way and teaching what choices to make" - he added.

"Milito Pro Christo" medals (I fight for Christ) were besides presented during the ceremony, awarded for giving evidence and acting to form attitudes based on Christian values.
