Information on the problem of the Indian engine-related tank was already appearing [in the fall of 2023](https://defence24.pl/industry/Indian-bear-light-over-after), erstwhile it was announced that the presentation of the tank prototype was postponed. More specifically, there is simply a deficiency of agreement to warrant the supply of MTUs for the vehicle. Thus, speculation began on engine change for Zorawara, listing solutions from brands specified as [Cummins](https://defence24.pl/industrial/Indian-light-with-new-engine) or Caterpillar (the second was used, for example, in a Turkish light tank/average Kaplan MT). The final choice was to fall on the Cummins VTA903E-T760 drive unit with a power of 760 hp, which was coupled with the HMPT-800 transmission from RENK America.
