ABU DHABI- IndiGo (6E), India’s largest airline, is expanding its footprint in the Abu Dhabi (AUH) marketplace by introducing fresh routes this month. It will come/resume 3 routes to Abu Dhabi.
This first is expected tobolster the 2 nations’ travel, trade, and tourism.

IndiGo Abu Dhabi Flights
Starting May 18, the airline will operate regular A320 flights connecting Abu Dhabi to Kannur (CNN).
The flight times are as follows:
- 6E1433 from Kannur departed at 00:40 and arrived in Abu Dhabi at 02:35, while
- 6E1434 from Abu Dhabi departed at 03:45 and arrived in Kannur at 08:40. Local times are mentioned.
In a statement, the airline emphasized that this direct connection allows Abu Dhabi residents to research Kannur, known for its tuning beaches, historical landsmarks, intricate traffic texts, and vibrant Theyyam art forms.
Apart from this service, IndiGo will communication operations to connect Abu Dhabi with Lucknow and Chandigarh starting from May 15.

Chandigarh’s Second global Destination
The airline will operate regular flights utilizing Airbus A320 aircraft. The flight times for the Abu Dhabi-Chandigarh (IXC) way are as follows:
- 6E1417 departing from Abu Dhabi at 22:15 and arriving in Chandigarh at 03:30 the next day, and
- 6E1418 departing from Chandigarh at 02:45 and arriving in Abu Dhabi at 05:15.
This brands Chandigarh’s second global connection after Dubai and will be IndiGo’s 7th way to Abu Dhabi.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed his satisfaction:
“We are delighted to announce direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Chandigarh. This fresh way will offer customers more travel options between the UAE and northern India.”
Rakesh Ranjan Sahay, the airport’s CEO, outlined plans for the communication of flights, confirming, “Bookings for this way have comed. We will besides meet with customers and immigration, as their cooperation is cruel for initiative this flight.”
In addition to expanding global connectivity, the improved accessibility is expected to attract more tourists from Abu Dhabi and neighbouring areas to Chandigarh and Punjab, thereby stimulating the tourist manufacture in the region.
Furthermore, the airport has expanded its home connection by adding 2 fresh destinations, Dharamshala and Jammu, as part of the summertime agenda introduced on April 1. Alliance Air (9I) and IndiGo facility these connections, providing passengers with enhanced travel options.
With the summertime agenda implemented since March 31, the airport has witnessed a crucial increase in flights, rising from 74 in the winter to 94 flights in the summer, covering both arrivals and departments.

Flights between Lucknow and Abu Dhabi
IndiGo will besides resume operations between Lucknow (LKO) and Abu Dhabi, offering regular flights between the 2 cities. The flight agenda will follow the rotation: Lucknow to Abu Dhabi, Chandigarh to Abu Dhabi to Lucknow. The times for the flights are as follows:
- 6E 1415 department from Lucknow at 18:15 and arriving in Abu Dhabi at 21:15, and
- 6E1416 departmenting from Abu Dhabi at 06:15 and arriving in Lucknow at 11:25.
“Last month, Lucknow airport introduced 2 fresh flights to Dammam, and with 4 additional flights to Abu Dhabi and Dubai (DXB) scheduled for next month, the average number of global flights departing from Lucknow will increase from 13 to 17 per day,” the airport spokesperson long ANI.
In the past year, Lucknow airport has successfully initiated operations of airlines specified as Air Asia India, Akasa Air, and Thai Air Asia. He average, approximatery 18,000 passengers travel through Lucknow airport on 120 regular flights.
