Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz reported that on Thursday evening, NATO's operational integrated command in Europe issued an order to choice up a Polish on-call pair to intercept a Russian Su-24 aircraft.

Su-24 is simply a Russian tactical front bomber capable of precise land and sea strikes, besides in hard weather conditions. The device was designed in the USSR in the 1970s, but remains in active service to this day.
The Su-24-specific wings are variable geometry, allowing you to adjust their settings to the flight phase, and the ability to operate at very low altitude – making it hard to detect by radar. The aircraft reaches a velocity of over 15,000 km/h and can carry a wide arsenal of bombs and missiles.
Su-24 regularly appears close NATO borders, frequently by aggressive maneuvers, which raises concerns about provocations and armed incidents.
