Not only KO supporters

On Tuesday 4 June, on the occasion of the anniversary of the first partially free elections of 1989, a political Citizens' Platform was held in Warsaw Castle Square. The event began at 6 p.m. and Prime Minister Donald Tusk gave a speech.

According to Onetu estimates, around 15,000 people gathered at the Castle Square at 6:30 p.m. Both supporters of the PO and opponents of the ruling organization were present and activists paying attention to the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, chanting slogans against pushbacks.

In the crowd there were besides supporters of the construction of the Central Communication Port, holding the banners “YAK for CPK”. Adam Czarnecki, who was standing with the banner, wrote on the X portal that after many allegations of fabricating the full situation, he decided to print a movie from the incidental he encountered.

The video shows 1 of the rally participants ripping and destroying the banner. Next to it stands Krzysztof Król, erstwhile MP and politician of the Confederation of Independent Poland from the 1990s, who accused participants of provocation for Russian interests. It is unclear whether a female was disturbed by a circumstantial password on the banner. The incidental occurred before the emergence for tv cameras, where you could hear requests to keep the banner lower. Earlier, the organizers asked not to rise flags and banners on camera lines aimed at the stage.

The allegation of violence

Adam Czarnecki described the full event in item on his X profile. How can we read:

We went to show the Prime Minister that we are demanding the construction of the CPK – that this is crucial to us. Matthew and I had precisely the same banners with us, which are before the Sejm all day – #YesForCPK and #StoimyForCPK. This time smiling Poland gave us not only a smile, but besides force – our peaceful, developmental slogans have upset people adequate that after about 10 minutes they decided to act and force us to destruct our banners, while calling us from idiots, kacaps or Russian agents – all this during the Prime Minister's words about fighting the Russian agent in politics.

Czarnecki did not halt at this post and continued his explanations:

We cross further borders – #YesForCPK and #StoysForCPK are completely peaceful initiatives, not against any party, not against any political side, and ZA – for expanding infrastructure, for building CPK, for KDP, for Poland.

Poland to all of us.

#Yes For Development

Someone will say that I grin on the movie – yes – the grin deescalates the tension, reduces the aggression of the attackers – we did not come there to look for “the storm. We tried to calm these people someway – yet there was a crowd around the 2 of us, so it could rapidly escalate in an unforeseen direction.

I was followed by an old woman with a daughter (about 25 years old) and erstwhile that old woman challenged me, her daughter (a supporter of KO) defended me.

Czarnecki besides identified 1 of the individuals who was besides immortalized on the film.

It turns out that the Lord of “provocators, for Russian money you stand here” is an activist of the Platform, the star of the 1990s – @krzysztofkrol. Krzysztof besides challenged us outside the movie and threatened that “we will deal with you” @Platforma_org – good activists there.

What's next with CPK?

Prime Minister Donald Tusk avoided clear declarations on the CPK during the Wednesday press conference. He only informed that the future of the investment would be revealed in June. He besides announced that a full presentation of plans for railway and airport projects would take place this period and that the liable ministers would supply detailed information to the public.

He besides added that the current impression of disagreement in the ruling coalition can be felt. However, he calmed down that the future of the CPK was in the hands of ministers from PSL and Poland 2050, emphasizing the full cooperation and unity of the coalition.
