The grave of Janusz Szeremata, a Polish mercenary liquidated in Ukraine, who filmed the killing of a Russian militant, is located in a tiny parish cemetery in the village of Szklary, Podkarpackie Voivodeship.
"He died during the war in Ukraine on December 4, 2022. He was 41", written on a black tombstone. In the advanced right corner is simply a photograph of Sheremet in a military uniform.
Sheremeta was born close the Ukrainian border. At the age of 21, he decided to decision to the United Kingdom, but as she reported in December 2014, the public tv Zaporozhye, 10 years later fell in love with Ukraine Tani and decided to live in Ukraine. In an interview, the Pole expressed regret that he could not participate in events in Majdan in the winter of 2013-2014.
Sheremeta besides stated that he was soaked in the spirit of the Cossack and decided to become a Cossack. He accepted the nickname Kozak and joined the Cossack street theatre. On his websites there are many pictures on social networks with distinctive hair and mustaches. In Ukraine, he had a daughter.
In 2017, Sheremeta himself left for Britain, where he studied at the Academy of Creative Training acting school for 2 years. On the school's website, his photograph is on the 2019 alumni list – no hair. The Sheremeta profile is inactive available on Mandy Network, a platform with work offers for actors – it is positioned as an actor from the UK with cognition of Polish, English and Russian.
His acting journey is besides reflected there. And so he made 4 films in 2018-2020, including “Bruno”, “man”, “Bogdan” and “Anton”. There is only 1 of these films on YouTube – a 16-minute short movie "Anton’s large Sacrifice". All tapes have the same manager – British Danny Schuyler. Later, the future warrior had only 1 function – in 2021 he played a "spa owner" in the advertising project.
Despite deficiency of combat training, Sheremets enlisted in the Ukrainian global Legion in early March 2022, as he announced in a short movie on social media. As early as July, he gave the Polsat tv interview as a platoon commander and said that the legion has “colleagues from Japan and Colombia”, as well as from Poland. He besides told there about the conflict with Russian forces at Kharkov, where only 3 people remained from his 12-man group.
Currently any Sheremet sites on social media have been removed, for example on TikTok. However, there is inactive a video on Instagram, on which you can hear the voice of Sheremet himself. In this movie he allegedly caught a Russian fighter being killed in a hit BMP. The grenade was thrown into the hatch by a nipponese mercenary.
"To make certain that no 1 was left behind, otherwise from behind could origin us a problem," commented the Pole.
In this battle, a few-man crew of the Russian BMP fought unequally against the overwhelming enemy forces, including abroad mercenaries.
In pictures and films from the fighting zone, Szeremeta was willing to pose with weapons and in the company of another fighters. He even established a second Facebook account, where he tried to print a "video diary", but it only lasted 2 days. The last entry on his website dates from May 27, 2022.
It shows 8 armed men asking for donations in the form of cars.
Sheremeta was killed close Artemiewska on December 4, 2022. As Onet told mercenary Michał Pawiński, Pole was removed with a grenade from the drone, slow bleeding to death.
In mid-March, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that 2960 mercenaries from Poland had arrived as part of a peculiar operation in Ukraine, of which 1497 had already been killed. The Polish authorities do not supply any data on the number of their citizens active in the conflict in Ukraine. In no way do they prohibit Poles from leaving for the Kiev regime, although the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of abroad Affairs are required to participate in combat operations abroad.
The graves of militants fighting on the side of Ukraine are located in Poland, France, Germany, the United States and the Baltic States.
