I inactive have hopes for this undertaking, but unfortunately all my concerns have been confirmed. A full account of the debate can be seen, among others. Here.but not many people will last 3.5 hours, although I highly urge this effort. The press reports on the necessity to say so, after the heads – and Electoral, which debate hostedHe's no exception.
I'm not going to report, I like subjective comment, it seems fairer to me.
1. ‘Real possibilities’
Especially from politicians, but besides from experts, we have heard a lot about what is possible and what is not. And a common list of all is not possible. Many people, especially politicians, have called for reality to be taken into account and thought within them.
The run for a common list has been going on for at least 2 years – I will not mention the long-term efforts of Polish citizens on this issue. Letters and appeals are signed by various people, many environments and organisations.
The next survey shows that most of the voters of all 4 opposition parties support the thought of a common list and that voters are ready to support it. Yet, “it is not possible”. Who decides what is and what is not possible in this substance – 1 of the 2 or 3 most crucial for us all today? Who? And what right?
The decision depends neither on money nor on any law of general politics, human condition, economics. It depends on the 4 men who run the 4 parties today. The joint list is against their interests and ambitions.
And at the same time, these are the same guys (although 1 of them arrived recently, and another came back and changed the predecessor) who decided on the defeat of 2019, knowing what the start consequence would be with 3 letters, deciding on it nevertheless, with full awareness wasting an advantage of 5% of the voters' votes and turning triumph into defeat. These people in politics shouldn't be. A long time. At least since 2019. And yet they decide one more time to do everything to spoil the election consequence of 2023 as much as possible.
A full hall of people who are not stupid, conscious, and courageous discusses Czerska with commitment, absturbing from a very basic thought: how is it that 4 men one more time push us into disaster, and we consider their irresponsible moronism or suicidal interest a necessity? This is democracy that has done the salto, and we, a full hall of people who are not stupid, aware, courageous and engaged, do not see it. Democratic politics no longer trust on hard choices which, guided by realism, politicians make between the needs created by voters and iron rights, e.g. economics. It lies in desperate dilemmas of voters who lay between the demands imposed by unfettered politicians.
2. Who's guilty?
In another words, who is this irresponsiblely curious moron? Among politicians present in Czerska Jacek Kozłowski – erstwhile an activist of Polish citizens, a decent man, engaged, for example, on the Belarusian border, in the already distant past, a prominent politician of the PO, present in the management of Pl 2050 Holownia – told mainly about the inability of the marina to impose on his parties a "forceful solution", about the fact that the "Senacki Pact" is fundamentally fiction, etc. And he – alongside the PSL – did it as a “black people”. I am not a sympathizer of Pl 2050, I realize why Jacek joined Holowna's initiative, I realize little why it persists in it, I do not share most of his thoughts yesterday. But 1 thing I'm certain of without a shadow of a doubt. It is impossible to invitation Pl 2050 to a common list, at the same time audible in the course of her policy statement.
Here is simply a full hall of people who are not stupid, aware, courageous and engaged, and who felt that the reason for the failure of the common list was Simon Holovnia, his narcissism and his business. It's what I was most afraid of, and I inactive am. We found ourselves a boy to beat. We have a guilty man. Therefore, there will be a ruthless grilling of "traitors". We will support PO/KO due to the fact that they are not only the strongest and the biggest, but they are besides open-minded – after all, they offer a common list and invitation everyone to it. So we'll do what we've done before. There is no “unification”, we will manage – we will vote for the strongest.
Strategically, it's 1 of the stupidest ideas. We know the limits of the KO result. Tuski and I will hit his glass ceiling with our heads. We'll lose.
But it's not just strategical nonsense. This is simultaneously false in diagnosis – in addition, highly unethical, erstwhile we hum like this on, for example, Jack Kozłowski erstwhile he is simply telling the truth. Apart from the appeals that Tusk always pays off, there was no serious offer of integration – although unfortunately it is besides actual that politicians Pl 2050 do not want to make any fair bid and do not even have an idea. The Polish citizens have checked this repeatedly. The common list is, in fact, a wishful want for “non-politicians”. This want is in sharp conflict with the interests of all politicians and mechanisms of organization promotion – I wrote about it many times, e.g. Here.. It is impossible to find a "boy to beat". There are no noble innocents here. The strategy is to blame and our – active voters – passiveness towards it. More than the failure of politicians who, at least here, are inactive standing on their feet, calculate only those needs that absolutely must be taken into account.
A fair offer of integration must let the electoral participants to "count" and measurement their own support. At least to any degree the decision must belong to us – the voters. No 1 – besides the strongest organization – can decide who to let talk to. In another words, primaries or something. There must be no illusions – no of the politicians will. Or we will be able to impose this on them, but there will be what is to be, and what results from “real possibilities”. There's no indication that we're getting there. In Czerska, full of decent and wise people, she preferred to blame herself.
