Almost 4 weeks after the beginning of the negotiations, the German CDU/CSU chapedencies and the Social Democracy SPD agreed a coalition agreement that would be the basis for the work of their common government.
At 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday 9 April, organization leaders will present an agreement at a press conference in Berlin.
According to politicians of the future coalition, a fresh government under the direction of CDU leader Friedrich Merz may be called in early May.
