The conventional period of the First Holy Communion was besides marked in the pastoral ministry conducted in Lublin detention. 3 adult women were carefully prepared for many months under the direction of the chaplain Fr Grzegorz Draus and solemnly accepted the First Holy Communion.
Preparation for the First Holy Communion is part of a catechist program carried out in custody by chaplains and catechists. These are catechesis conducted by the catechesis of the Neocatechumenal Way and Alfa courses, which affect volunteers from various Lublin prayer communities.
The commitment of those incarcerated in spiritual life was besides expressed by hand copying and decorating respective Bible books in different languages. This is part of the next phase of the program (after the hand-written Bible in Polish) in which the people incarnate the Bible – all book in another language. This practice is both a form of spiritual exercise and promotion of the Bible as the most crucial book always read worldwide.
