I reviewed the economical programs of Trzaskovsky, Mentzen and Nawrocki. 1 thing is truly surprising

What does Poland live now too the drama with Trump and the war in Ukraine? The expensive, rising rents, advanced credit. So I looked at the economical programs of the 3 leading candidates in the polls: Rafał Trzaskowski, Karol Nawrocki and Sławomir Mentzen and ripped them from the propaganda and political envelope. Here's what's left of them.

– As a rule, candidates talk about things that are at all outside the area of the President's decision – smiles prof. Witold Orłowski, economist. He besides points out that many points from candidate programmes are already implemented by the government. There are besides common points in the candidate programs. On almost apparent issues: proposals for simplification, improvement and investment.

At first glance, it can be seen that all candidates do not have an overly elaborate economical agenda, and they frequently compose about the same thing: they want development, simple taxes, wealth and happiness of the nation.

Let's start with Sławomir Mentzen. Alphabetically. He is educated as an economist and creates himself as an economical and economical expert. Sławomir Mentzen included his economical and financial regulations in 2 points: "strong economy" and "low and simple taxes".

Mentzen: So there's nothing?

Mentzen wants – this is not news – as small economical regulation as possible, putting himself as a spokesperson for tiny and medium-sized business. "The activities of large global corporations, technological oligopolies, pharmaceutical companies, alternatively than tiny Polish business should be regulated," we read in his programme.

The most crucial component of his plan is the elimination of many taxes and charges: the taxation of Belka, PCC from housing, the simplification of PIT, CIT, VAT and voluntary ZUS.

– That's right: most of these things, in no way at all, are the President's decision. Even if he wanted to do something about it, he can't. Besides, any things are already done or done. Even if Belka's tax, he is to vanish this year – says Prof. Orłowski.

The economist besides points to the most serious problem with the ideas of the Confederate candidate.

– The fundamental problem with Mr Mentzen's programme is that he is happy to say what kind of money he will quit and not say what to finance, for example, pensions. His words are, of course, addressed to young voters who believe that their pensions are not of interest and that this is simply a problem for older people. They think it doesn't apply to them, so they're very happy to applaud it to endure quite a few taxes. The problem, of course, exists and remains – says Prof. Orłowski.

Mentzen besides proposes "the release of cryptocurrency". This word is rather mysterious due to the fact that the trading of cryptocurrency is not prohibited.

– most likely what Mr Mentzen is reasoning about is abolishing any regulation that would in any way limit the trading of cryptocurrency, which is simply a alternatively dangerous idea. Cryptovaluty is simply a risky investment and most investors in cryptocurrency have no thought how much. Among young people there is besides specified a common belief that cryptocurrency is simply a magical recipe for becoming rich, but the government does not want to let it," explains Prof. Orłowski.

Metnzen besides writes in his program about defending cash, rejecting Green Deal and energy security. We skip these points due to the fact that there are virtually no specifics in them.

Nawrocki wants to defend Poles from taxes

Karol Nawrocki besides writes about the defence of cash, but, in the Constitution, it is written by Karol Nawrocki. It besides announces that gold will defend and will not agree to replace it with a common European currency.

– Writing cash into the Constitution is evidently bullshit due to the fact that money changes. They utilized to usage gold, and now we have a tiny amount of cash. After all, 97% of transactions are carried out without its participation. This is purely technical, so I realize that Mr.Nawrocki simply repeats these thesis, not even knowing their meaning – says Prof. Witold Orłowski.

He adds that Karol Nawrocki repeats something that older voters like. This is Mentzen's inverse, who in turn fights for young people and would propose not to liquidate gold, but to replace cryptocurrency.

– Mr Mentzen only talks about lower taxes, no 1 mentions spending. It addresses those voters who do not care about state spending only the taxes they gotta pay. So it has a form of luxury, due to the fact that it just doesn't gotta worry about it. For example, Mr Nawrocki must number on an older part of the electorate, which is in favour of expanding expenditure, alternatively than lowering it. The left-wing candidate, in turn, must besides say how it should be more spent, not little collected – explains the economist.

Nawrocki has already taken a beating for his promise to lower power prices. The program besides has a taxation reduction, but not for everyone, but for families with at least 2 children. It besides wants to reduce VAT from 23 to 22 percent. She's got any weird stuff on the show, too. "I will propose to include in the Constitution the rule of inheritance of assets from generation to generation without tax" – we read.

Why is that weird? due to the fact that there's no taxation like that, and the closest ones don't pay it. No 1 has to pay for the inheritance from parents or grandparents. In fact, you gotta pay taxation for the inheritance from your next family.

Nawrocki besides wants "constitutional protection against cadastral tax". These ideas have not yet emerged, if they are to concern people who have not one, but respective apartments or houses.

While Mentzen wants to make renewable and atomic energy, Nawrocki writes in the program "low-cost coal energy – to feed, mine, develop". It is rather unusual due to the fact that coal extraction in Poland has been falling for years, we have less and less miners, we are simply leaving. It's just... besides expensive. "The large 4 of improvement – CPK, atom, ports, investment zones", Nawrocki writes elsewhere. Um, we want to replace coal with an atom.

Nawrocks about the economy and finances compose in 2 or 3 paragraphs of the program, individual ideas are repeated in them.

Trzaskowski as Kwiatkowski

The first item of the programme ("plan for Poland") is the construction of the Central Industrial District. The first, real, was created in Silesia by Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski. Trzaskowski wants to build a second COP in Podkarpacie.

– Again, the president has nothing to do with this decision. Now we should alternatively let private companies grow, and where they place their venture is their business. So it's very old-fashioned thinking. That's how it was done about a 100 years ago. Although the very thought of industrial improvement is not bad. However, it seems to me that we should alternatively let companies build factories where they want – says Prof. Orłowski.

Besides, in the Trzaskowski program, it is vain to look for revolutionary ideas. He wants the state to support Polish entrepreneurship, investment to grow and manufacture to grow.

A separate, and thus an crucial point (only 6 of them) of the Rafał Trzaskowski programme is deregulation. A akin entry under the heading "Restricting bureaucracy" can be found in Mentzen's plan.

– It is very easy for all candidates to say what and how they will deregulation. However, in Mr Mentzen's case, I am most inclined to recognise that he can indeed (as much as the president of course) support deregulation. At the same time, I think that he would want specified a Trump-style deregulation, which is to retreat from the regulation even where they are absolutely necessary, i.e. for safety protection or for cryptocurrency. I wonder what Mr Mentzen would say about, for example, deregulation of online gambling, etc. I think his desire for deregulation is sincere, only that it is about chaotic deregulation and even where regulation should clearly be – he says.

This, of course, does not change the fact that the work on widespread deregulation is taking place, the president can support and initiate specified work. But after the election, he will have small to do in this area – if, of course, the squad Rafał Brzoski will "deliver" his proposals. The remainder depends on the government and the Sejm anyway.

Which candidate gives the most?

In the upcoming presidential election – which, given erstwhile experience, may surprise – in the financial and economical sphere, the most crucial candidates do not promise much. Sławomir Mentzen evidently has a imagination in which everyone has a home, 2 cars and a barbecue. He wants to abolish many regulations and taxes, but makes no social promises.

The same is actual of Rafał Trzaskowski. On the K.O. candidate's program, it's vain to look for any kind of promulgation. quite a few specified elements can be found in Karol Nawrocki, but he, like Mentzen, speaks alternatively of taxation reduction, abolition of some. He's the only 1 with a point for pensioners. It sounds "valorisation of pensions at least by PLN 150 or more and always above the inflation rate".

Sounds good, but only for individual who doesn't know how valued retirements are. Valorisation, thus expanding the value of benefits, is calculated by adding to the inflation rate at least 20% of the real increase in average wages over the same period. Thus, valorisation is always higher than inflation, although in fact it does not always gotta scope at least PLN 150.

It is besides worth noting that presently the candidates' programmes are not besides extensive, so economical and financial issues do not take up much space. More typical political and ideological battles than the actual conflict for programs and visions of development.
