The Confederacy stormed the halls of large politics. Although pre-rooms are not yet salons, the Confederate presence itself on the lowest level of the polling podium introduced a tiny confuge into the local world.
For almost 2 decades after the concreteization of the Polish policy, in reality, where everything and everyone is predictable to pain, unexpectedly something moved.
Propagandists ostentatiously teardrop their robes, and what wiser commentators effort to answer the question: What the Confederacy truly Is? Of course, that is simply a reasonable question, but not enough. Much little crucial than what the Confederate politicians say and do present will be what they say and do "tomorrow" precisely after the election. due to the fact that as we have seen, the leaders of this group are capable of serious image and program volts.
For example, it is evident Sławomir Mentzen. In 2019, erstwhile the Confederate debuted, the politicians of various, until late disputed options jointly sought the alleged anti-system electorate. Her programme from only 4 years ago can be summarised in the alleged "five Mentzen". "We do not want Jews, homosexuals, abortions, taxes and the European Union" - they preached in a not-subtle, yet expressive kind leaders of the fresh party. This left no uncertainty as to their position on the political stage.
For 4 years, a lot has changed. He's retired politically. Janusz Korwin-Mikke, and the function of the leader of the freedom movement (and de facto the full Confederacy) was taken over by Sławomir Mentzen. And he rapidly introduced a fresh order, immediately turning towards the political center. From the slogan "we do not want Jews, homosexuals, abortions, taxes and the European Union" remained only "we do not want taxes", and this is very moderate. "They were never my views," said the Confederate leader recently, commenting on the statements of politicians reminding him of the alleged 5 Mentzen.
Equally extremist volts can be observed in relation to 1 of the most crucial issues that is the war in Ukraine and the dangers it poses today. “I am just pointing out that we should not be besides prone to Ukrainian propaganda. Our business is not identical to Ukrainian. Ukraine is committed to bringing Poland into the war" - argued Mentzen-pretendent until recently. “I do not see the Ukrainianization of Poland”, “I have long been talking about the request to liberalise labour law for Ukrainians” – the present Mentzen-president amazed his fans.
Apparently we're dealing with 2 Mentzens. The erstwhile is simply a tough counter-systemist with views of freedom, national and conservative. The fresh 1 is simply a vague centrist about the general views, soft as plasticine. Are the Mentzens of old and present besides present? – most likely so. What will be their face? – I am incapable to answer that question.
The Confederacy is not Mentzen himself, but it could point to a polemic here. However, this would be an apparent truth, as Mentzen de facto monopolized the transmission of his party. National radicals centered in RN hid in the shadows. After a mysterious withdrawal Robert Winnicki They became completely invisible. In the meantime, however, they helped marginalize Grzegorz Braun leading to the preventive removal from the electoral lists of parts of its associated activists. No wonder. As long as the Confederate fought for 1 ticket in the district, all vote was on the weight of gold. Current polls give this group more than half of the districts a second mandate. This in turn means that in the more than 60-member parliamentary club of the Confederation, Braun's faction could exceed 15 sabres. It would thus become a force Mentzen would gotta deal with seriously.
As interesting as who's not going to find fresh transfers to the organization on the Confederacy list. Among them are 2 names: Anna Siarkowska and Przemysław Wipler. In the confused paths of these politicians, attention is drawn to their connecting points, including the Association “Republicans” and... Law and Justice. Do these transfers mean beginning up to formal or informal coalitions from PiS? – we do not know that. I hope not, although I simply do not believe in ensuring the leaders of the Confederate on this matter. Since I erstwhile heard the words spoken without blinking my eyes, “they were never my views,” I am ready to hear them from the same lips many times.
The Confederacy's political way remains unknown. There are those who consider the current ranking simply to be a tactical outpost, after which the reinforced individual Confederation will be able to return to its first assumptions. However, I fear that this thesis is simply a projection of desire. Sad practice shows that politicians who have strayed into mistake immediately settle for those who have been led astray. It only remains, somewhat contrary to hope that this time it will be different.
Either way, we will shortly know the actual face of the Confederacy. Fruit. I hope they're not very indigestible.
