How politicians gauge the threat from the East

"The devil's top trick is to convince people that he does not exist," noted Charles Baudelaire. He was right. Looking at the strength of the challenge of Polish politicians from “putin people” and “Russian agents”, the devil can only wipe his hands.

Course against Russia – unchanged

First of all, hard facts: unlike many European states, the political environment, which they do bow to the current regulation of Russia, is inactive a margin. Perhaps, whatever we do not want, this margin may widen over time, but for now it functions on the outskirts of politics. Solutions strengthening the Polish army, sealing the east border, expanding the safety of the country pass in the Sejm unanimously. In average times, this would not be noteworthy, but at a time erstwhile politics is based on hate, it must be stressed.

One of the fields of continuation of the erstwhile and current government's policies is the invariably tough attitude towards Russia and towards Russian aggression against Ukraine. And Poles, as investigation shows, see the threat from Putin's regime. How specified an attitude can evolve, even the example of the United States can prove.

Aggravating the Real Threat

Why, then, erstwhile it comes to current politics, do our representatives act like they are amok and lose their sense of responsibility, not to mention common sense? How else can we call each another accusations of pro-Russianity and being the Kremlin agent?

Educating society in various types of threats requires sensitivity. It is not possible for citizens to make a sense of fear, due to the fact that then they will effort not to think, to destruct them from their memory, so that they do not live in a constant disfort. On the another hand, it cannot be underestimated, due to the fact that we do not burden ourselves with memory either. This besides applies to the threat from Russia. As shown by hybrid activities – from the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border to spectacular arsons – it is visible and can affect each of us.

What are politicians doing at the time? They accuse each another of being Russian agents. If X wins, Russia will be happy – says 1 side. If the Y organization candidate wins, we have a Russian protectorate here – says the second. As a result, erstwhile we face the effects of real Russian actions, the alarm can simply be ignored.

Lies about entrepreneurs who “the first million steal” and in general spend time on tropical islands have greatly damaged the image of Polish entrepreneurship during the time we were rebuilding the economy. Today's stakes are higher. Therefore, dear politicians, if you are no longer able to discuss arguments, and at least do not make it easier for those who treat you the same, regardless of organization signs. due to the fact that our enemies want you to be unbelievable to the citizens. Then they can do their job.
