It seems that 1 of the most burdensome obstacles faced by foreigners visiting China has already been irretrievably overcome.
Four institutions, or
- Ministry of Public safety (chin. 公安部),
- Ministry of Commerce (chin. 商务部),
- Ministry of Culture and Tourism (chin. 文化和旅游部) and
- State Administration of Migration (chin. 国家移民局),
They asked all hotels throughout China to welcome abroad guests without restrictions to date.
Until now, foreigners could only stay in hotels that obtained a peculiar licence to receive guests from abroad. specified licenses usually obtained hotels of at least 3 stars, so definitely more costly ones.
All indicates that the situation in which cheaper hotels or motels refused to accommodate foreigners will end. According to the information published by these 4 institutions, Chinese hotels cannot refuse to accept abroad guests due to the deficiency of a licence to accept them.
