Over a 100 neglected dogs were rescued from pseudobreeding in Jędrzejów. 1 Ukrainian national owner who held animals under outrageous conditions attacked police officers during the intervention. He's facing 5 years in prison.

Brutal reality of “breeding” – dogs in tight cages, filth and stench

On Monday (2025-05-05) police officers from Jędrzejów together with City Hall employees, The territory Veterinary Doctor and representatives of the animal rescue foundation entered a property rented by respective 47-year-old Ukrainian citizens. On site they discovered 104 dogs of different breeds, mostly long-haired dachshunds and Scottish collies, held in dark, tight and dirty cages.

The conditions were so bad that they threatened animal life. Experts confirmed that the dogs were extremely neglectedand the owners had no no documents for breeding.

"It was like a fart" – the neighbors have reported the problem for years

The locals knew for a long time that something disturbing was happening on the property.

Animals saved, the owner is facing jail

All the dogs left transferred to the Foundationwho will take care of their healing and uncovering fresh homes.

Meanwhile 47-year-old male has already heard the charges – not only for Animal abusebut besides for assaulting police officers during intervention.

According to Animal Protection Act, for animal abuse threatens up to 3 years in prisonand in the case of particular cruelty – up to 5 years.

Is this the end of pseudo-breeding in Poland?
