Szymon Hołownia, who had late focused on the criticism of Sławomir Mentzen, present moved his attention to Rafał Trzaskowski. The tension between Hołownia and Trzaskowski was seen during events in Koński, where the marshal successfully thwarted the plans of the KO staff, who wanted to organize a "one-on-one" debate between Trzaskowski and Nawrock. Hołownia first took part in the "Republics" debate and then appeared at a gathering organised by KO, where he asked Trzaskowski a provocative question: “Will he, as president, follow Donald Tusk’s instructions?”
Another blow was Holownia's presence at the next "Republic" debate, which Trzaskowski boycotted. The marshal did not attack directly, but his words – e.g. that “He is not afraid of clashes on hostile grounds” – could be read as a sting towards the president of Warsaw.
Holownia challenges Trzaskowski: “Why did he refuse?”
In fresh days, Holovnia has organized "meeting with supporters of Trzaskowski" in the reader's cafe, located in the office of the Civic Platform. He then challenged the debate “one by one” on 30 April in Gdańsk. Trzaskowski refused, explaining that “He will not argue with his friend”.
– I don't realize why Trzaskowski didn't agree to the debate, to talk to respectable people. Just mostly with friends he shouldn't have a problem debating “The Holownia replied. He besides added that "The President's work will depend on hundreds of debates with opponents much more demanding".
Hołownia Strategy: Will Tusk retreat Trzaskowski?
