The reception of the movie by Polish politicians
The latest movie by Agnieszka Holland, “Green Border”, was awarded a fifteen-minute standing ovation during the premiere at the Venice Festival. The work tells the communicative of the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border from 3 perspectives: refugees, activists and border guards. The premiere in Poland is scheduled for 22 September, but despite the fact that Poles cannot yet see it, many of them criticise this painting. Among another things, he is accused of partiality in showing the situation at the border.
The Green Border was undeniably on the lips of the full world, and Variety calls production a thriller showing the callousness and exploitation of refugees by political elites. However, it cannot be said that the ruling organization is 1 of the enthusiasts of the fresh director's film. Krystyna Pavlowicz, commenting on the movie before its premiere, stated that it was “a thoughtless, feminist, irresponsible, disgraceful gadzinist.”
Jan Kanthak of Sovereign Poland spoke of Agnieszka Holland's painting in the following words:
In specified a situation, a individual who is Polish, if he is close to Poland, should stay distant from entering specified propaganda as Putin or Lukashenko does.
It won't be quiet, Mr. HOLLAND!
Your thoughtless, fakish, irresponsible, disgraceful gadzinist mocks Poles on their defenders!
He's got their families!
Gives the vile, lying arguments to the enemies of 🇵🇱!
You've been out of a decent group a long time.
You're sick of hating 🇵🇱 pic.twitter.com/eLPryMpwIH

Zbigniew Ziobro, on the another hand, compared Holland's work to propaganda paintings that were shot for the 3rd Reich. In his opinion, the main analogy is that Poles and here and here are shown as murderers and bandits.
Interestingly, Ziebra's words were rapidly picked up by abroad media. "The Hollywood Reporter" stated that:
The comparison of Holland and its latest movie to Nazis and Nazi propaganda is highly ironic. The director's most celebrated work is her movie about the Holocaust 'Europe, Europe' and the Oscar nominee "In Darkness", devoted to the destiny of Jews hiding in Poland during planet War II.
Agnieszka Holland answers
The manager decided not to stay in debt to the minister of justice. She announced legal action against him. As she noted in a peculiar statement, Zbigniew Ziobro violated her individual possessions and thus defamed her. The comparison with the perpetrators of planet War II events is painful and must, in her opinion, meet with an adequate response. Holland laments that it is placed in 1 line with the propaganda of the 3rd Reich. That doesn't give her area to argue.
The manager adds:
Instead, I will usage the media sound thus created to explain to him and his propagandists what Green Border is. Our movie is an effort to give voice to those who have no voice. The problem of migration will increase, causing it to affect each of us soon. Meanwhile, in Poland it is presented unilaterally, only from the position of government propaganda, which is only curious in 1 thing – to scare our society. due to the fact that people who are afraid – as the Minister of Justice knows perfectly – are governed much easier. That is why I have chosen to give the level to the another side as well. If we only perceive to the stories we show in the film, we will discover that it is archipolskie, due to the fact that it tells about large Poles carrying in spite of the dangers of helping another man, and highly human, due to the fact that it shows how unobvious moral choices that each of us must make.

Agnieszka Holland thus requests the Minister to apologise and pay 50,000 to the Holocaust Children's Association.
Polarised opinions
Opinions on the Green Border and the controversy surrounding the movie are alternatively divided. There are a large group of supporters as well as opponents of the image. Many critics point out to Agnieszka Holland her message during the event "Campus Poland Future", erstwhile she said that she would deprive men of voting rights for 12 years.
Agnieszka Holland in an email to our Association explains that the thought of removing electoral rights from men is "pure fiction" and guarantees that "no boys and men (...) will deprive the electoral rights."@Campus_Poland#CampusPolandThe Future@congreswomanpic.twitter.com/Eti8f7Tjdx

Magdalena Wednesday, Ilona Łepkowska or even the institution of the Polish Theatre in Bydgoszcz stand for the director.
It is worth mentioning that the process of creating the Green Border itself was not easy. In 1 interview, Holland revealed that:
The movie was expected to be ready a year ago, writing the script went fast, but collecting money proved harder. Eventually, we started shooting in the spring of this year. I was aware that if the opposition failed to remove the PiS from power, then after the election they could destruct the film. Fortunately, Venice invited him to the festival, and in specified a situation there is no request to pretend that the movie is not there, since it is
