The first weeks of 2025 abound in a number of speeches calling for an urgent increase in defence spending in NATO associate States. This request has late been signalled not only by Donald Trump, but besides by North Atlantic Alliance Secretary-General Mark Rutte or Kaja Kallas, Head of the European Defence Agency and EU advanced typical for abroad Affairs and safety Policy. It is so no wonder that countries which do not meet the request of 2% of GDP for defence have been censored.
