Historical calendar – anniversary of the authoritative appointment of the GROM peculiar unit. The beginnings of this formation are highly interesting.

Today in our Calendar we will look at both the beginnings of the GROM unit and the case Operation Bridge, on which the celebrated Polish peculiar unit was created.

During the systemic transformation from the Polish People's Republic in III, there was a change in the hegemon, which was subject to the Warsaw authorities. The United States has replaced the russian Union in this role. Political submission to the US was due, among others, to Polish abroad debts incurred in that country. It was not insignificant to want to join NATO, whose U.S. was the actual manager.

In order to show themselves before the Zaocean empire, Poles undertook in 1990 an evacuation mission from Iraq American intelligence officers and information they obtained. These were crucial for a future invasion of the country (the Desert Storm). During Operation ‘Samum’, the UOP branch performed the task assigned to them.

In return, part of Polish debts were actually decommissioned. Unfortunately, as part of the repression, Saddam Hussein limited economical contacts with the 3rd Republic of Poland, which resulted in many Polish companies losing profitable contracts in Iraq. In the following years, military and political cooperation with Washington was established, beginning the country to penetration by the peculiar services and large corporations. The cult of the Polish society's cargo towards the US and Western lifestyle was so large that many considered the fresh vassalization as a merit for Poland.

Since Washington's business was stiffened with Tel Aviv, it was essential to have appropriate relations with Israel. Especially due to the fact that due to the holocaust card, this country has become a kind of holy cattle on the global stage.

One of the first examples of cooperation with the US and Israel (in practice, it meant the full submission of the Polish side to “sociants”) was the issue of the evacuation of Jews from the russian Union as part of Operation “Most”. In order to carry it out, Poland was opened up to penetration from Mossad (Israeli intelligence), Shin-Bet (Israeli counterintelligence and CIA (American counterintelligence).

Operation “Most” consisted of moving russian Jews to Israel. The Israeli government was convinced that, with the dissolution of the USSR, Jews could be blamed for the fall of the empire and for giant pogroms. It was besides perfectly understood that the Jews were mostly active in the extermination of the indigenous Russian people and therefore, in the event of the regime's failure, they could not feel safe.

These people were thought to be evacuated as shortly as possible. With the aid of the United States, Israel obtained Mikhail Gorbachev's approval to export Jews. However, a transhipment point was needed. Poland came to this role.

A peculiar interministerial squad and a commando group were formed. The financial safety of the operation active the company Art-B of the Jews Bogusław Bagsik and Andrzej Gąsiorowski. Everything ran smoothly and ended with the spread to Israel of about 100,000 russian Jews. A group of commandos showed its effectiveness, so it was made the seeds of an elite unit of Polish peculiar forces. It was officially legalized on July 13, 1990, as a peculiar unit of GROM commandos, with Sławomir Petelicki at the head.
