In December 2022 Estonia decided to acquisition 6 U.S. M142 HIMARS launchers with a logistics, training and ammunition package worth over €200 million. Now representatives of Tallinn, including artillery commanders at the Estonian defence Force Major Tanel Tatsi, officially picked them up at the manufacturer's office in Arkansas. In addition to military participation in the ceremony from Estonia, the manager General of the Estonian Defence Investment Centre (ECDI) Magnus-Valdemar Saar and his deputy Katri Raudsepp, attaché defence of the Brig-Gen. Taivo Rõkk and Ramil Lipp, who serves as a purchasing manager for strategic-level weapons at ECDI.
