In Poland, the number of mediocre people affected by destiny and facing abrupt dramas is increasing. We decided to respond to this increasing problem. We are creating a work Fund to combat poorness and social inequality. For this purpose, we will allocate all funds collected as part of the 1.5% share of the taxation transferred to our foundation.
Currently almost 2.5 million Poles live in utmost poverty*. This is 6.6% of the Polish population. Only in 2023 their number increased by 47%. utmost poorness means that people don't have the basic means to live, they starve, they don't have clean water, they don't have the right place to live. They're fighting for survival. They are both older people, families with children and refugees.
Under the work Fund, we want to support mediocre and excluded people; older, sick and lonely, children and young people with disabilities, as well as refugees who want to start a fresh life in Poland and request support in adaptation and a helpful hand for the start. Importantly, all funds that we will receive as part of the run will be allocated to the Accountability Fund.
- says Artur Nowak-Gocławski, president of the Irresponsible Foundation and ANG liable Finances.
