Harrods, a world-famous British department store, announced in mid-December the beginning of the “Harrods Mansion Members Club” in Shanghai, a task besides called “The Residence”. This is the first specified exclusive Harrods club in China.
The club can in rule number no more than 250 members (we talk about a city where more than 27 million people live and work), all possible "overnumbers" members will be admitted solely on the basis of individual instructions (spores) of members of the club.
Three categories of Shanghai membership of the “Harrods Mansion Members Club” have been defined, and the yearly fees associated with this membership begin at the level of 150,000 RMB (approx. PLN 83.500).
Members of the club get, among others, the freedom to book a table in a restaurant, which is run by British cook Gordon Ramsay.
“The beginning of a restaurant in Shanghai has long been my ambition, but it took perfect time and perfect location to realize this ambition. I am glad that we have started working with Harrods as part of The Residence, a truly exclusive and breathtaking project. shortly we will present to the club members and their guests a unique and carefully selected menu of British cuisine," Gordon Ramsay said at the end of last year.
The Shanghai “Harrods Mansion Members Club” was located at HKRI Taikoo Hui in the Jing’an territory of Nanjing Road in a revitalized Cha home building built in the 1920s. There is an exclusive tea area and piano bar available to all volunteers (and with adequate resources). The club rooms are located on the first, second and 3rd floors of the building, where you can get the elevator guarded by the porters in uniforms identical to those in which the porters of Harrods London Knightsbridge are dressed.
It is worth realizing at this point that the Cha home building is located in a place that is the dream of all developer in the world. Here you can build a building like the 1 on Złota 44 in Warsaw. And this is simply a three-story home owned by only 1 owner...
Members of the Shanghai club Harrodsa will be able to spend their time in it savoring the finest cognacs and whisky, the best wines from around the world, organize private dinners, or meetings at the bar, as well as discreet business meetings in conference rooms decorated in a circumstantial art deco kind of Shanghai 100 years ago. In each of these spaces, members of the club are to feel unique, so everything here has been made custom: from wallpaper, through furniture, through kinkies and lamps.
I hear there's a gold ceiling in the ladies' closet.
If members of the club are in a hurry, they have a private jet at their disposal, and another urgent matters will be handled by a concierge selected in an highly complex recruitment process.
Harrods is simply a luxury department store on Brompton Road, in the Knightsbridge district, London, whose founder was Henry Charles Harrod. The first Harrods store opened in 1849. The current 7-story building dates from 1905.
