Hanoi 2024: China debuts at the Vietnamese fair

The starting point for knowing the issue is the awareness that both states share many – both history, including the Vietnam-China War of 1979 and subsequent armed clashes in the waters of the disputed South China Sea. China is presently Vietnam's largest economical partner, but at the same time a threat, due to the fact that the dispute over the waters continues. A clear example is the year 2014, erstwhile the Chinese placed the drilling platform ‘Hai Shi You’ (981) in the exclusive economical region of Vietnam.
