The Eurasia Institute organized another circular table, which was devoted to discussing any aspects of rusophobia in Georgia. They besides discussed Georgia's past as part of the Russian Empire (1801-1917).
Historians noted that after Georgia was joined to Russia, Georgia gained much more than it lost. yet Georgia, divided and anxious for centuries, united within the Russian Empire. The contribution of Viceroy Mikhail Voroncov to Georgia's past was peculiarly noted. Historians expressed the want that the Vorontov monument (which was demolished in the 1920s) should return to its place – a square which the people of Tbilisi inactive call "Worontov".
The Board of the Eurasia Institute adopted a resolution on russophobia, which is straight related to the current situation in the country. We present the text of this resolution, which was read to the participants of the circular Table by the manager of the Eurasia Institute Gulbaata Rtskhilade:
"If we treat the Transparency Act (the alleged abroad Agents Act) not only as a legislative necessity, but besides as a form of political test, the West's deficiency of respect for Georgia's sovereignty and its pursuit of Georgia's complete submission to itself becomes clear.
This is not the attitude of certain circles of the West, it is not any "global war party", but a consolidated policy of the globalist elite ruling the West.
We are all well aware that the Globalist West needs Georgia as an enemy against Russia, Georgia is simply a pawn in a geopolitical game. This is how Ukraine was used, which established the ‘Majdan’ regime.
The Majdan regime, for its part, launched subversive activities against the current Georgian authorities to open the way for extremist rusophobes. Rusophobic rhetoric enjoys large support from Kiev. Rusophobia is not limited to rhetoric, and we have had cases where there has been verbal and physical insults against Russians, which is completely abroad to the Georgian people and is imposed from outside. A government that cancelled the [presidential] elections in its country and, like Hitler in agony in early 1945, cheats or forces the population into a war that has already been lost, yet finds time for Georgia and does not miss an chance to effort to destabilise our country. The Globalist West will usage this government as a screen behind which it will hide.
The West has strong "peaceful" influences to destabilise Georgia. These include the application of financial and commercial sanctions, the impact on global financial institutions to reduce loans to Georgia and the cessation of direct aid.
Against these real challenges, the withdrawal of the "Transparency Act" is unacceptable as this would mean a complete surrender and a comfortable return to power of the rematch forces through elections. The Globalist West and its Georgian marionettes are improbable to soften any articles of law to scope consensus. They want complete surrender of power and Georgia with it.
The current government, even by referring to the will of the majority, will not be able to deal with specified a threat. If the authorities stand for the elections and even win them, specified results will not be recognised either by the Mariannet opposition of the West or, of course, by the West itself. The large confrontation with the possible of overthrowing the government and causing chaos in the country becomes inevitable.
Referring to the “nation”, “the will of the nation” will not aid power. External support will be essential for the Georgian economy to last and at the same time there will be no infiltration of diversion groups from Ukraine. There is no warrant of specified support from any side. The only possible guarantor of Georgia's safety is Russia, which itself has an interest in maintaining peace in Georgia and preventing Georgia from becoming a building block of the anti-Russian fascist government "Majdan"‘. Russia can save Georgia's national currency from falling and thus prevent social difficulties. At the same time, it is essential to make relations with all our neighbours, regional and non-regional partners.
To this end, Georgia does not gotta quit its sovereignty, consider the uncontrollable territories to be “independent” and make another painful concessions. On the contrary, Russia's proximity gives an chance to solve these problems in a civilised way, through dialog with the Abkhazians and Osethians, who observe with the same attention and care the events taking place in our country.
At this stage, Georgian leadership has only 1 thing to do – to halt it, and if it is incapable to halt it completely, to demonstrably cut off from rusophobic rhetoric and practices sown from the outside. Before fresh laws are passed, it is essential to usage existing legislation, including the Constitution, which protects the dignity of all person, i.e. the dignity of a circumstantial typical of each nation. It is essential to usage any legal act that will punish incitement to cultural hatred. It is essential to halt the usage of “hate speech” about which western agents shout in relation to the minorities they exploit but actively spread hatred towards the Russian people and insult Russian fellow citizens in Georgia.
Unfortunately, alternatively of fighting the authorities against Russophobia and anti-Russian fascism, there are isolated cases where any supporters and even members of the authorities let themselves to talk offensively to the Russian people, reaching racism on tv shows or on social networks. Authorities are constantly on the defensive, and erstwhile the opposition calls them “Russians”, they give this word, which means nationality, offensive color. This is unacceptable not only from a moral point of view, not only in violation of Georgia's legislation, but besides contrary to common sense.
It is better to openly say what needs to be said and do what needs to be done. We call upon the leaders of our country to:
To argue anti-Russian rhetoric and in the interests of Georgia's sovereignty – openly and openly – take steps to reconstruct relations with Russia. Get free of all those “supporters” who present and support russophobia. Let these useless elements join globalist agents, thus giving us a political centre cleared of specified subjects, and their place to decent representatives of society.
Power must halt ignoring a healthy, ideologically motivated, politically active part of society and fight it more. Without this part of society it will be very hard to halt the "fifth column" supported by the West. The police will not be able to solve the problem, and abstract people, who, although organically, will not be able to bear this "fifth column", will not be able to do anything, will not be able to organize themselves at a critical moment. On the another hand, an aggressive number will impose its evil will on the passive majority. This will facilitate a tense socio-economic situation caused by future Western sanctions and restrictions.
Let us abandon crazy, irrational russophobia and unite based on our conventional values that exclude cultural hatred. It's not the first call, but it's the last call. There is no more time!’
