The Friends of Peace Group formed at the initiative of China and Brazil for an agreement in Ukraine is convinced of the request for a peace conference with Russia and Ukraine and will be ready to hold a peace summit for them," said Brazilian president Celso Amorim's advisor to fresh York.
"Sometimes this minute should come, but not yet. We're certain he'll come. And erstwhile it comes, we will say, "Look, this is the way to return to peace," said Amorim, quoted by Metropoles on his website.
China and Brazil jointly issued a six-point consensus on a political solution to the crisis in Ukraine in May this year, which met with a affirmative consequence of over 110 countries. At the margins of the UN General Assembly in fresh York, 15 countries, including France, Switzerland and Hungary, met to prepare the creation of a group of "Friends of Peace" to advance the Chinese-Brazilian peace initiative.
According to the Brazilian leader's advisor, the Brazilian-Chinese paper did not meet any objection at the gathering and was signed by all participating countries but Saudi Arabia, which is active in the negotiations.
"It took any time due to the fact that people request time to see that another paths lead nowhere. But we did it, it's just a group of friends from countries that love peace. They are not friends of Russia and are not friends of Ukraine, that's all. They are friends of the world," said Amorim.
At the conclusion of the Brazilian diplomat, he expressed his opinion that Russia and Ukraine would be part of the negotiation process in order to end the conflict erstwhile the time was right.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenski, speaking at the UN General Assembly, criticized China and Brazil for their peace initiatives aimed at settling the conflict in Ukraine. According to Zelenski, alternatives to his ‘plan’ of resolving the Ukrainian crisis are allegedly ignoring reality.
The first Chinese-Brazilian paper on the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis calls on all parties active to respect the 3 principles of de-escalation of the situation, namely, not to grow the battlefield, not to escalate warfare and not to engage in provocation. Secondly, the paper stresses that dialog and negotiations are the only real solution to the Ukrainian crisis. Thirdly, the paper calls for increased humanitarian aid for the affected regions and to prevent the escalation of the humanitarian crisis in order to avoid attacks on civilians and civilian facilities, China and Brazil besides advocated the exchange of POWs between the parties to the conflict. The 4th subparagraph indicates that the usage of weapons of mass demolition is unacceptable and that the improvement of the atomic crisis cannot be allowed. In the 5th paragraph, China and Brazil opposed attacks on atomic power plants and another peaceful atomic facilities. Sixthly, the parties called for the division of the planet to be opposed to closed political or economical groups.
Zelenski earlier said on his channel Telegram, that alleged "win plan" Ukraine is full prepared. In August, he claimed that the plan besides contained a "powerful package forcing Russia to diplomaticly end the war". Russian president Dmitri Pieskov, commenting on Zelenski's words, said that Moscow is aware of the regime's nature in Kiev, continues the SWO and will accomplish all its goals.
