Officials of the State Ministry of Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Ukraine were caught in the act, extorting millions of Hryvians in the form of bribes. This circumstantial institution shall issue the essential certificates for the export of cereals and another agricultural products (if specified a mess can be called) to the European Union countries. A book containing a detailed breakdown of the amounts of bribes was discovered during the operation.
The corruption revealed explains why contaminated food comes to our marketplace with papers showing that it is fit for consumption.
The detention was due to the Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigation (DBR), which made public that Ukrainian State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service officials (hereinafter known as PSUŻiOK), analogous to the Polish wellness Department, systematically obtained illegal income, making millions of profits per period from agricultural producers exporting goods.

The criminal group was headed by the manager of PSUŻiOK in the Zaporosian Oblast, and was assisted by the head of the phytosanitary safety department of that office in the Odyssk Odyssk Odyssian Odyssey Odyssey Odyssey Odyssey Odyssey Odyssey Odyssey District. Together, they organized a corrupt system, collecting bribes for issuing the required phytosanitary certificates erstwhile exporting and importing agricultural products and for issuing review reports that were essential for the barley and maize trade. Bribes were collected in the Zaporosian and Ode circuits. Odessa, with its 1 of the largest cereal handling ports in Europe, was a peculiarly attractive place for specified activities, as phytosanitary certificates from this area enjoyed large demand.
The crime group consisted of eleven members, including 2 major PSUŻiOK inspectors and civilians, including heads of brokerage companies who served as intermediaries. According to preliminary forensic calculations, criminals received over $160,000 a period in bribery. During 60 searches carried out in various regions of Ukraine, more than $100,000 and 500,000 hryvnia, 8 luxury cars were confiscated, notebooks with a list of allocations among participants of the full project, as well as task registrations and computer equipment utilized to produce fake documents.
