Gala XX, the jubilee edition of Poland's biggest reporter photography competition Grand Press photograph 2024 was held on Wednesday 22 May at the Jan Kiepura Mazovia Musical Theatre in Warsaw. 42 single photos, 9 reports and 3 documentary projects were nominated for the GPP 2024 final. A full of 233 photos of 56 authors were awarded.

The president of the jury of the GPP competition was Jewhen the small One. It is the hot name of the planet press photo, winner of planet Press Photo, Pulitzer Prize and Oscar for the movie "20 Days in Mariupol". He said to the participants that he believed in photography due to the fact that “it may not change the world, but shows what we should do in this world”. – Photography is besides crucial for our children – so that they can see what happened to us in earlier years – added Małoletka, while stressing that the war in Ukraine began not on February 24, 2022, but in 2014.
