The WB Group provided the Polish Armed Forces with elements of the unmanned GLADIUS search and impact system. The transfer of vehicles and unmanned aircraft of the FT-5 and BSP-U families took place as early as 19 months after the contract was signed.
The delivered transportation was the consequence of affirmative tests, including the operation of unmanned search and impact systems with a warhead. The consequence is the reception by the Polish Army of further elements of the first battery module GLADIUS.
It is worth reminding that on December 15, 2022 the Armed Forces of Poland took the first elements of the GLADIUS system. This enabled operator teams to start training before further supplies of components of this system.
The contract for the transportation of 4 battery-free modules of GLADIUS search and impact systems along with the training and logistics package was signed on 6 May 2022. The parties to the contract are the Armed Forces Agency of the Ministry of Defence and the leading company of the WB Group – WB Electronics S.A.
The logistics package includes the supply of maintenance kits and maintenance service for unmanned aircraft. The training package, in addition to training soldiers themselves, includes training unmanned aircraft and strategy simulators.
The battery modules of unmanned search and impact systems GLADIUS are designed for precise demolition of targets and for conducting image designation from the air utilizing unmanned aircraft FT-5.
The function of the system's effectors is full of BSP-U drones, integrated with the Polish Armed Forces' National Fire Management strategy TOPAZ.
The battery module besides includes launch vehicles, command wagons, ammunition trucks, maintenance wagons, another vehicles and BSP-U impact supplies.
