Giro d'Italia women - Dutch domination at phase 5

Dutch Demi Vollering from the FDJ United-Suez squad won the fifth, mountain phase of the Giro d'Italia cycling race.

The second at the finish line in Santo Stefano di Cadore was her compatriot, riding in a pink T-shirt of the leader Anna van der Breggen (SD Worth-Protime).

The Dutch women must have overtaken 2 escape companions on the last metres - German Antonia Niedermaier (Canyon-SRAM) and Canadian Isabella Holmgren (Lidl-Trek).
