The leader of the Liberal Civic Platform informed that he would exhibit from his list Roman Giertych, erstwhile head of the All-Polish Youth. Most likely Gierty will compete in the Świętokrzyskie district. This is interesting from the point of view of the political spectacle, due to the fact that it will compete there with the leader of postsanation Jarosław Kaczyński.
But something else made me laugh. many comments from readers of “Gazeta Wyborcza” and viewers of “Contact School” – “the intelligence will have individual to vote for”. I was reminded of what Roman's grandfather, Jędrzej Gierty, wrote about the “Intelligence” more than 80 years ago in his work “About Getting Out of the Crisis”:
"Without any exaggeration it can be said present that intelligence is the most politically worthless layer in Poland... Intelligence is politically stupider than the people, due to the fact that in the opinion of political reality, it does not origin common sense and cognition of life, but a paper phrase, a cafén and Gazecian gossip, and bureaucratic fiction that obscures its image of real life. At the same time, she is more addicted to people – and so she is afraid not only to act and speak, but even to think for herself. It is yet in its mass, not much morally worth today.
If intelligence does not shake out of its present state – life will gotta pass over its head. The revival of the country will gotta go over her head. The revival of the country will then be the work of only a people, led by a tiny fistful of actual intelligence, knowing what the work is towards the country."
Any duel of Kaczyński-Gierty will not be of crucial importance for Poles. Contrary to the assessment of many commentators, this is convenient for Kaczyński. Roman Gierty is not a problem for the voters of Law and Justice (PiS). This proves 1 thing – that Kaczyński was right in his diagnosis of enemies. The dividing line is PiS and antiPiS. The Kaczyński voters consider Gierty to be a alien who sold himself to the another side. In no way, he was indomitable with his household political tradition. And they're actually right. Giertych's anti-scriptism is passionate and built up with individual experiences. He's very zealous. Politically, of course. His superb and mostly accurate diagnosis will only scope convinced voters of the Civic Platform. It's different from Kołodziejczak, who's not much usage to liberals.
The erstwhile Minister of Education is like mortar, cementing division on the political stage. That's why we request Kaczyński more than Tusk. Members and colleagues of Roman Giertych's letters will include Sławomir Nitras and Claudia Jachira. And in this place it is worth lowering the “blue curtain” of silence.
