Germany will join the Czech ammunition initiative

The value of the weapons which Germany will pass on is EUR 576 million. The Ministry stressed that the contribution of the German side would represent 40% of the size of the project. In March, Defence Minister Boris Pistorius already announced another support package for Ukraine, amounting to EUR 478 million and not including assistance provided under the Czech initiative. In total, we will supply Kiev with weapons worth more than EUR 1 billion in these 2 tranches - explained the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence in an interview with Reuter's agency.
