In Germany it boils after the decision of AfD. "Time for excuses is over"

The German counterintelligence considered the full alternate for Germany (AfD) to be an utmost right-wing movement. In the country (and not only that) it was boiling. German newspapers comment on this decision. "None of the voters who have eyes and ears should now claim that they do not know what the organization is moving for election. This is something that cannot be missed," writes "Sueddeutsche Zeitung".

The diary "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" writes: "Truism is that the work of the Constitution Protection Office is 'politically motivated'. Finally, the protection of the constitution has outstanding state-political motives. (...) It was only a substance of time erstwhile (the AfD party) criticized the justice strategy as a servant of the establishment," we read. According to the AfD newspaper, she needed what had just happened to "complete the criticism of the state".

"FAZ" recalls that AfD is by far the largest opposition parliamentary group in the Bundestag. This deepens the dilemma of democracy, "because this opposition is considered right-wing extremists. Consistent action would lead to a criminalisation procedure. Unless 1 tolerates what a resilient democracy cannot tolerate," writes the journal.

AfD reaction without surprise

According to Sueddeutsche Zeitung ("SZ"), the AfD organization reacted to the counterintelligence decision as usual. "It presents constitutional guards as an obedient instrument of the Home Minister to halt a organization whose time has allegedly come. In doing so, he does not mention 2 things: even the guardians of the Constitution are bound by legal requirements; they cannot simply conjure up evidence from the briefcase. There are many statements that confirm the anti-constitutional position of the AfD members" – we read.

According to "SZ", the hard core of AfD supporters will not be impressed by the decision of the Constitution Protection Office. "However, no of the voters who have eyes and ears should now claim that they do not know what the organization is moving for election. This truly cannot be overlooked."

Why did the Germans vote for AfD? In the bastion they talk directly

As the economical paper "Handelsblatt" notes, so far the AfD voters have not disturbed the anti-constitutional improvement of the party. "On the contrary – AfD is the second strongest force in the Bundestag, and in any polls even overtakes CDU/CSU. no of this should prevent you from taking a defensive stance towards this party," we read.

According to the newspaper, anyone who clearly seeks action against the basic order in democracy should not be amazed if the constitutional state does everything to defend this basic order.

Is there going to be a delegate?

According to "Handelsblatt", there is no uncertainty that the current action involves serious considering the illegalisation of AfD. "The decisive origin will now be how the fresh black-red coalition (from the symbolic colors forming it CDU/CSU and SPD – ed.) will position itself. The management of AfD must be clarified with common agreement. The normalisation of relations with the party, as late suggested by the designated leader of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group Jens Spahn, is pointless," comments the newspaper.

The diary "Stuttgarter Nachrichten" calls the qualifying of AfD as the far right "political bomb". According to the newspaper, this decision will be a permanent subject throughout the parliamentary term. "Central seat will now take on how to handle this party. First of all, trivializers and normalizers in CDU/CSU are now ashamed. And for the full country it is embarrassing that the next national Chancellor is now considered to be a individual who has tried to push through the Act on the already rhetorical biased title of 'The Act on Limiting Inflows (Migrants)' consciously, without necessity and against the advice of crucial organization colleagues with the aid of right-wing extremists', we read.

No more excuses.

The Cologne paper "Kölnische Rundschau" writes: "The question whether AfD is simply a average organization has now received a fresh response, as the Constitution Protection Office classified it as a right-wing extremist organization. The way we deal with this now mentally and politically revolves around the question of what we want to accept as a norm. The statements of the Constitution Protection Office supply awesome evidence which can no longer be ignored in the evaluation. Time for excuses is over," the diary states.

The paper stresses that it should not be forgotten that not all officers and members of this party, and surely not all voters, are extremists. "However, all citizen must now consider whether he wants to support specified a network of anti-democratic and sometimes even misanthropic behaviours," we read.

According to the journal, this is not just about standards but besides about values. "Surely AfD's credit is that she put her finger in political wounds. It's a classical opposition organization job. However, the limits of human dignity cannot be constantly tested, as was the case with this party," comments "Kölnische Rundschau".

In turn, the diary "Straubinger Tageblatt" refers to German past in its commentary. "80 years ago the reign of panic of national socialists ended. Throughout Germany, people match the hideous atrocities committed by this regime. Almost at the same time, the Constitution Protection Office classified the largest German opposition organization as a right-wing extremist party. We request to think about this for a moment. The obstacles to the illegalization of the organization are rightly high. But at least it should be checked out. Everything else would be irresponsible in this historical context," the paper estimates.
