German tanks for Italy?

Italy's Land Forces are presently moving a programme to upgrade Ariete C1 tanks to C2 standard. However, it seems that the vehicle, even after retrofitting, is not considered adequate and is being considered to acquisition another structure, as a bridge solution until the fresh generation of tank service is implemented.
