The majority of the Deputized Sovereign German alternate organization for Germany (AfD), as well as respective representatives of the authentic left-wing Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW), boycotted on Tuesday the speech of the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski in the Bundestag. That's what's causing the angry comments of the liberal press.

Before the speech began, the parliament's plenary area left 77 AfD MPs, and only 4 were left. There were besides 10 BSW representatives, a organization formed by Wagenknecht this year. "We do not want to perceive to speakers wearing camouflage," explained AfD MPs adding that "Ukraine does not request a president of war but a president of peace." The BSW Alliance, in turn, stated that it wants to send "a sign of solidarity with all Ukrainians who want an immediate ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia and a negotiated agreement".

During a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Zelenski expressed concern at the election success of groups proclaiming "radical pro-Russian slogans". AfD activists believe that this is, first, Zelenski's interference in Germany's interior affairs, while it is unacceptable to interpret it.
