Known for her pro-Western views, Zurabishvila stated at a press conference that Georgian voters had become victims of “Russian peculiar operation”. The events in Georgia were reacted abroad. On Sunday, representatives of the parliaments of respective European countries and Canada stated in a joint message that the elections were neither free nor fair.
The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, urged the Central Election Commission of Georgia to analyse allegations of irregularities during the parliamentary elections in that country. He stressed that in fresh months Georgians have shown their EU aspirations and attachment to democratic values.
