On 1 June, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz informed that the Maj-Gen pilot Ireneusz Nowak, on 2 June, would be appointed by the president of the Republic as commander of the Operations Command of the Armed Forces Types.
