On the eve of All Saints Day, we visited cemeteries in Warsaw to light candles and to mention those who contributed to the improvement of our cognition about the East and connected their fates with the survey of east Europe. Walking through the largest Warsaw necropolis – including Orthodox, Karaimic, Evangelical-Augsburgan cemeteries, Evangelical-reformed, Powazki and the judaic cemetery – we paid tribute to all those who devoted their lives to the east affairs.
This unique gathering not only allows us to preserve the memory of the well-deserved, but besides brings us together: students, lecturers, administrative staff of SEWu, building awareness of the importance of their achievements and inspiring us to proceed their work.
