A 50-year matrimony may shortly gain not only symbolic designation but besides real financial support. The Sejm is presently reviewing a petition for a fresh benefit. The initiative, known as "500 plus for married couples," provides for a one-time payment of PLN 5,000 to PLN 8,000 for long-term couples, depending on the number of years they have been together.
