Russia's aggression to Ukraine, raging energy prices, advanced inflation, the impending economical and climate crisis, the pace of technological change make it hard to look forward with optimism.
Increasing polarisation makes it increasingly hard to find a coherent consequence to these challenges. Left-wing and right-wing populists are trying to destruct liberal institutions, through which democracy avoids interior conflicts.
At the same time, voters increasingly reject seemingly simple solutions based on xenophobia and exclusion of those who think differently. akin processes are besides taking place in Poland. The turning point for the future of the full region, democracy, the regulation of law and the model of capitalism is coming.
During the 10th anniversary edition of the Freedom Games in Łódź, a fresh generation of experts, NGOs, business, politicians and citizens will present a proposal for changes, a way to overcome uncertainty and prospects for the future: both local and global.
The determination and will of the fight – supported by appropriate planning and preparation – make it possible to get out of a seemingly tragic situation. It's a lesson from the heroic opposition of the Ukrainians.
It is time for us to face together the key geopolitical, economic, environmental and social challenges. For the sake of ourselves, here and now, but for the sake of future security.
