France, as a consequence of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, decided within the NATO Lynx mission to place its military component in Estonia. So far, soldiers participating in it have been equipped with, among others, [armoured transporters VBMR Griffon](article:1019206). In addition, Paris, as part of the Reinforced extended Presence (eFP) initiative, has delegated its [war reconnaissance cars AMX-10RC/RCR](article:1019326) to that country. [In May 2024](article:1036944) that quota received additional support in the form of successors to the AMX-10RC, or EBRC Jaguar in the number of at least 6 of the 1st Expeditional Cavalry Regiment.
